The Danya Learning Center is an online continuing education resource
for healthcare professionals. It hosts online continuing education courses
for addiction treatment professionals, physicians, nurses, other providers,
and outreach workers. Courses are developed by a team of seasoned experts
in behavioral and public health and innovative professionals in graphic
and Web site design and programming. Danya Learning Center courses represent
analyses of research and practice evidence, development and evaluation
of Internet-based interventions, and translation of the knowledge gained
into an educational program for healthcare providers.

The Danya Institute, a nonprofit organization, seeks to promote the health,
education, and well-being of individuals and communities by providing
analysis and information to the public and to enhance the workforce development
of healthcare professionals on issues related to drug and alcohol use
and addiction. The Institute staff provides technical assistance, capacity-building,
and training to organization grantees. For example, the Institute supports
the Central East Addiction Technology Transfer Center (CEATTC), providing
training and conferences for capacity-building related to the treatment
of substance abuse use and addiction, and the prevention and treatment
of HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases among drug-using individuals
in a five-state region. Also for CEATTC, the Institute maintains the Center
for Excellence called the “Center for HIV, Hepatitis, and Addiction
Training and Technology” (CHHATT). The goal of CHHATT is to put
research findings into practice by bringing new information and resources
to community-based prevention and treatment providers.
