Vice President
With more than 20 years of experience conducting large-scale research and evaluation projects for an array of federal agencies as well as for nonprofit organizations, Dr. Scherer leads Danya's Global Evaluation and Training unit. In this role, she leads the business division in providing research and evaluation design and implementation, training and technical assistance, supervision of contracts and grants, and development of business opportunities and partnerships, both domestically and internationally.

Dr. Scherer previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and Senior Research Analyst for COSMOS Corporation. In this capacity, she provided management oversight for the firm, established corporate policies, assessed technical operations, ensured contractual compliance, coordinated human capital requirements and issues, oversaw business development and marketing, served as senior research scientist and directed scientific research and performance monitoring projects. As the previous Vice President of Research and Adminsitration for Association & Issues Management, Inc., she conducted both qualitative and quantitative research in support of client and firm projects, investigated industry-related inquiries, and directed a public outreach center.

She has served as a board member on multiple advisory boards across Washington, DC, assisting on a range of issues including business development, operations, and performance management. Dr. Scherer has authored or co-authored more than 50 publications and presented at national-level forums.

Dr. Scherer received a Ph.D. in Sociology and Criminal Justice from American University, an M.F.S. degree from George Washington University, and a B.A. in Biology from Knox College.
