Vice President, New Media Ventures
Daniel Pohl is the Vice President of New Media Ventures at Danya International and
a leader in the company’s efforts to expand its commercial online presence. Currently,
he and his team are building an exciting and educational virtual hometown for children
ages 7 to 12 to become superheroes as they join a brother and sister fat-fighting duo,
Jasper and Kiki (aka Nutriboy and Nutrigirl) in learning how to eat right and be fit while
having fun and interacting with other boys and girls. Previously at Danya, Mr. Pohl served as
the Vice President for Information Technology Services and Solutions, managing all aspects of
technology for the company including design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide
systems. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Pohl founded or co-founded three cutting-edge,
Internet-related companies and with his technical and business vision enabled these organizations
to secure early venture funding and progress to viable businesses. Mr. Pohl also served as the
Director of Internet Strategies and Services for IBM in Washington, DC, where he led the design
of the consulting methodology for IBM's Institute for Electronic Government. Mr. Pohl held a
number of management positions in business development, product management, sales, and marketing
at Lotus Development Corporation prior to their acquisition by IBM. Mr. Pohl earned his B.S. degree
from Tulane University.
