2009 Hermes Creative Awards

As part of two CDC-funded projects, Danya received the Gold Hermes Creative Award for our Division of Adolescent and Student Health Success booklet and an Honorable Mention for the Heightened National Response exhibit. The Hermes Creative Awards, judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, honor the messengers and creators of traditional and emerging media.

2009 MarCom Award

As part of two CDC-funded projects, Danya received an Honorable Mention for the Global AIDS Program recruitment brochure. The MarCom Awards are an international competition for marketing and communication professionals involved in the concept, writing, and design of marketing and communication programs and print, visual, and audio materials.

2008 Government Contractor of the Year

Danya was named 2008 Government Contractor of the Year. The Contractor of the Year Awards program recognizes companies in the greater Washington, DC, area “for distinguished financial and operational accomplishments and for outstanding contributions during the past year to its employees, the government contracting industry, and the U.S. Government.”

2005 3-Star Above and Beyond Award

Danya received the 3-Star Above and Beyond Award for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve from the National Guard and Reserve Forces. This award signifies Danya's commitment to providing a work environment that promotes and supports those serving in the National Guard and Reserves.

2005 Health Information Award

Danya received national acclaim from the Health Information Research Center with a National Health Information Award for the teen cancer video Growing Up Fast.

2002 National Health Information Awards

Danya received national acclaim from the Health Information Research Center with two National Health Information Awards. Danya produced the two programs that were chosen from among 900 submissions in consumer health: Pain-Prep: Coping With Painful Procedures and Special Delivery: Increasing Prenatal Care Utilization.

2002 American Public Health Association's Best Materials Award

Danya won the Best Materials Award from the American Public Health Association for the video You've Got a Friend. The video and its accompanying curriculum provide answers to questions about Tourette syndrome.

Daily Record 2002 Innovator of the Year Award

Danya was selected by the Daily Record as 2002 Innovator of the Year for its adolescent smoking cessation program. The Adolescent Smoking Cessation Escaping Nicotine and Tobacco (ASCENT) program is designed to provide information on the dangers of smoking and to give students the support and necessary motivation to quit.

2001 International Television Association D.C. Chapter's PEER Award

Danya received the 2001 International Television Association Washington, DC, Chapter's PEER Award for "Best Program—Instructional/Training/Professional Development." Danya received recognition for the teen smoking cessation video The Last Drag.

2001 Gold International CINDY Award

Danya was recognized with the Gold International CINDY Award in the category of kindergarten-through-12th grade educational video. The Danya video winning the award is its teen smoking cessation video titled The Last Drag—an integral component of Danya's Adolescent Smoking Cessation Escaping Nicotine and Tobacco (ASCENT) program.

2000 National Tibbetts Award

Danya was awarded the 2000 Tibbetts Award from the U.S. Small Business Administration for excellence in Small Business Innovation Research achievement.
