Silver Spring, Maryland (June 2, 2006) – Danya International, Inc., a health communications and technology firm delivering breakthrough solutions for public health and education, today announced the award of a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Contract from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) to establish a standardized curriculum program for training addiction counselors to become clinical supervisors. The Danya Team has been developing curriculum and providing training in the addiction treatment community for more than 15 years.

Under the NIDA’s SBIR Contract, Danya will be responsible for developing and evaluating a Clinical Supervision Training Program that comprises:

• 18-hour classroom training curriculum
• 12-hour online training curriculum
• PowerPoint presentation
• Participant workbook
• 20-minute video
• CD-ROM-based, computer-simulated interactive training tool
• Train-the-trainer curriculum

Danya has been designing and conducting clinical supervisor training programs regionally throughout the country for a number of years and has extensive experience in helping addiction counselors become certified clinical supervisors. The training techniques established and used by Danya are tested methods for producing qualified supervisors, many of which become trainers by passing Train-the-Trainer programs, also created and implemented by Danya professionals.
