Danya Designs a Comprehensive, State-of-the-Art, Web-Based Resource for Improving Performance in Opioid Addiction Treatment Programs
ImproveOutcomes.com Highlights Best Practices in Enhancing Quality of Care

Silver Spring, Maryland (May 17, 2006) – Danya International, Inc., announces at the American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence (AATOD) National Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, the launch of a Web-based performance measurement resource designed to enhance the quality of services from addiction treatment programs. This new Web site (www.ImproveOutcomes.com) provides treatment professionals with an extensive online resource for implementing healthcare performance improvement practices.

Funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) through a Small Business Innovation Research grant, ImproveOutcomes.com incorporates performance improvement principles and tools with the accreditation standards established by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). This easy-to-use system provides step-by-step recommendations for improving the quality of care.

"ImproveOutcomes.com" is the 'go-to' resource for treatment professionals and administrators who are implementing performance improvement strategies in their organizations," said Luc R. Pelletier, MSN, the project director for this initiative. ImproveOutcomes.com is organized by modules that feature:

  • CARF and JCAHO standards, implementation tips, and tools
  • Performance measurement tools that track clinical outcomes and support a quality improvement process
  • Clinical practice guidelines and related adherence audit tools
  • Templates and tips for developing outcome measurement reports
  • Practical guide for conducting quality improvement processes
  • Access to academic tutorials on healthcare quality improvement
  • Online courses on clinical issues and research topics
  • Interactive discussion forum for sharing quality-improvement ideas and experiences

"With funding from NIDA we were able to develop this online resource to help drug treatment programs to improve quality and meet accreditation requirements," said Jeff Hoffman, Ph.D., Danya President and CEO. "Drawing from best practices of proven programs to serve as models for improving the quality of care across the entire healthcare system, with continued support from sponsors such as Netsmart Technologies, Inc., ImproveOutcomes.com will be able to provide this valuable online resource for free to treatment providers and practitioners in the field."
