Free Adolescent Smoking Cessation Training Workshop

Why ASCENT?
Adolescent Smoking Cessation Escaping Nicotine and Tobacco (ASCENT)
is a 6-session, school-based program for youth ages 14 to 18 who want
to quit or who are thinking about quitting smoking. This program is
based on the well-known Stages of Change model, and is an innovative
approach to providing youth with information about the dangers of
smoking and giving them the support and motivation necessary to successfully
quit smoking. The ASCENT program consists of:

Who Should be an ASCENT Program Facilitator?
Anyone interested in helping teens quit smoking can, and should,

Knowledge: A Compendium of Standards and Benchmarks for K-12 Education
