Danya International Awarded the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) Services Accountability Improvement System (SAIS) Contract

SILVER SPRING, MD. (September 29, 2003) – Westat, Inc., along with American Institutes for Research (AIR), FEI, Inc., and Danya International, Inc. (Danya), was awarded the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) Services Accountability Improvement System (SAIS) contract.

Under a subcontract to Westat, Danya will provide training to all (approximately 1,000) grantees in the CSAT discretionary portfolio and other CSAT grantees (approximately 60 Performance Partnership grantees). Danya will also provide four yearly half-day SAIS trainings to CSAT Government Project Officers, other CSAT staff, contractors, and SAIS consultants each year, and will be responsible for providing meeting management and logistical support for these training events.

On behalf of the CSAT, Danya will provide all training services delivered through the CSAT SAIS contract. This contract provides funding for Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) activities for all CSAT discretionary programs. It helps CSAT conduct accountability and performance assessments of the discretionary programs, improve CSAT Project Officers' ability to conduct project oversight, and manage grantee portfolio oversight.

Danya will also develop a CD-ROM-based SAIS training program. This will include developing a self-paced SAIS tutorial that contains analysis and synthesis of relevant information, preparing the information in a format appropriate for a tutorial, and incorporating instructional design elements and electronic media usability best practices.
