SILVER SPRING, MD. (May 17, 2003) – On April 21,
2003, the U.S. Department of Defense officially approved the transfer
of the Navy/Marine Clinical Preceptorship contract to Danya International,
Inc. (Danya), a health communications firm with headquarters in Silver
Spring, Maryland.
Under this contract, Danya will oversee the provision of clinical supervision
and support to counselors providing substance abuse treatment in 70
facilities located on Navy and Marine Corps bases throughout the world.
The program assists counselors in achieving maximum effectiveness through
on-the-job mentoring and in-depth clinical supervision. The overall
mission of the Clinical Preceptorship Program is continuous improvement
and quality of the services provided by participating counselors.
