Danya’s Performance Earns Extension of HUD Contract for University Partnerships Clearinghouse Project to Support Community Development
HUD Project Enables Universities to Increase Neighborhood Revitalization Efforts
Silver Spring, Maryland (May 26, 2009) – Danya International, Inc. (Danya), a communications, research, and technology firm, has been awarded the follow-on contract from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to continue supporting the University Partnerships Clearinghouse (UPC) project. The UPC project, administered through HUD’s Office of University Partnerships (OUP), provides a critical liaison and outreach tools to colleges and universities considering involvement in, or already engaged in, community revitalization initiatives in their respective communities.

Danya has been supporting the UPC project since November 2002. This is the third contiguous three-year clearinghouse support contract that has been awarded to Danya to provide the following services:
- Maintain and update the OUP Web site at www.oup.org and the OUP listservs.
- Provide reference and referral services and fulfill information and publication requests through operation of the 1-800 helpline and from inquires via facsimile and email.
- Design, update, and maintain OUP conference exhibits and provide strategic and logistics support for conference exhibitor planning and on-site representation.
- Develop, publish, and disseminate publications, computer packages, audiovisual materials, newsletters, and informational documents.
- Plan and coordinate national, regional, and technical assistance meetings.
- Coordinate and provide logistical support for peer reviewers rating and ranking grant applications.
