Why Danya
New Employee Orientation
Effectively orienting new employees to the company and to their positions is critical to establishing successful, productive working relationships. Orienting an employee into the job and the culture of the company greatly increases the chance for a successful start in a new role. Our four-part orientation program (first day, first week, first month, and first 90 days) is also part of our diversity initiative. We ensure that all employees have the resources and support from both the company and their managers. We begin working with the employee before he or she arrives and continue to support the transition into the company through the first 90 days.
Voices of Danya
Voices of Danya is a task force consisting of employees from all levels, occupations, and demographics established to foster an awareness and appreciation of diversity by having input into the people-management programs of the company. This ensures that Danya management is aware of and meets the interests and needs of the workforce.

The Voices of Danya goals are:

  • Promote an organizational environment in which staff have the opportunity to provide input
  • Encourage staff to contribute time and expertise in the design of programs and services
  • Promote a work environment that is inclusive, diverse, and fosters a spirit of community across all lines
Internship Program
The Danya Summer Internship Program benefits those full-time college students in their freshman, sophomore, or junior year of study who want meaningful work experiences and to explore career opportunities with Danya. Interns may be paid or unpaid, and their hours may vary in duration, depending on both Danya's and the student's requirements. The purpose of the Internship Program is to identify talent for future employment by providing developmental opportunities relevant to the student's academic and professional goals. Our recruiting approach for the Internship Program is a direct extension of our core business and the diversity of the populations we serve. We reach out to local universities and colleges, emphasizing those with large minority populations. We also directly recruit students, attracting creative and committed individuals who share our passion for the work we do.
Suggestion Program
The Employee Suggestion Program, an online suggestion system, is a formal system for acknowledging employees' suggestions and rewarding ideas implemented that reduce or eliminate expenditures and/or improve efficiency of operations or morale.
Volunteer Program
Danya contributes to the community and, in particular, the Head Start Program. Danya's full-time, regular part-time, and part-time employees are encouraged to volunteer their time to participate in these company-sponsored Head Start activities. Employees are able to use flexible scheduling to participate in these volunteer activities. Most Head Start volunteers contribute 3-4 hours every 4-6 weeks on a rotating schedule.
