Danya Holds Open House at its NPIN Partner Engagement and Resource Center (PERC)

Center Serves as Resource Center for CDC, Prevention Partners, and Stakeholders

Silver Spring, Maryland (December 9, 2009) – Danya International, Inc. (Danya), a communications, research, and technology firm, will be holding an open house on December 9, 2009, for its Partner Engagement and Resource Center (PERC) at its Atlanta, Georgia, office. PERC, now the residence of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) National Prevention Information Network’s (NPIN) Resource Center, was created to support a variety of NPIN activities, specifically internal communications, operations, and partner activities.

NPIN facilitates communication among prevention partners and their constituencies and accumulates and disseminates prevention knowledge and resources. NPIN makes the search for CDC’s HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, sexually transmitted disease (STD), and tuberculosis (TB) information easier by researching, collecting, organizing, and disseminating electronic copies of the latest CDC-produced materials. NPIN exists to support, educate, and inform individuals and organizations engaged in the front lines of HIV/ADIS, viral hepatitis, STD, and TB prevention and management.

PERC provides the multimedia facility necessary to effectively provide NPIN resources to CDC, as well as its stakeholders and prevention partners. Other features and functions of PERC include interactive training rooms for online usability and focus group testing resources, as well as a call center for NPIN information specialists to respond to calls placed at the NPIN toll-free line and chat on the NPIN Web site.
