Danya Hires New Leader to Oversee Head Start Programs Division
Silver Spring, Maryland (September 21, 2009) — Danya International, Inc. (Danya), a communications, research, and technology firm, recently hired Lucia Palacios as Vice President of Head Start Programs. Ms. Palacios will provide strategic leadership and vision for the overall management of the Head Start Monitoring Support contract. She will also lead the strategic development and growth of Danya’s Early Childhood Education business.

Prior to joining Danya, Ms. Palacios gained extensive experience operating large- and small-scale nonprofit organizations that served children and families. She was the Executive Director of Orange County (Calif.) Head Start, Inc., which provides child development and family services to more than 4,000 children annually with an annual budget of $40 million. Ms. Palacios is recognized in the field of Head Start and early childhood education as a strategic thinker, trainer, and advocate of strong communication channels among all stakeholders.
