Danya CEO Elected to Board of Corporate Council on Africa
Silver Spring, Maryland (March 30, 2010) - Dr. Jeffrey Hoffman, CEO of Danya International, Inc., (Danya) has been elected to the Board of The Corporate Council on Africa (CCA). Danya has been a member of CCA September 2007. Dr. Hoffman is deeply committed to the mission and goals of CCA as evidenced through active participation in all events. In this short time, Dr. Hoffman has worked to enhance relationships and provide support to CCA where appropriate, including a recent partnering with Zebrajobs.com to host the first Africa Virtual Job Fair in September of 2009.
During his first visit to Africa in 2005, Dr. Hoffman was moved beyond measure to improve upon the resources available to the people of Africa. Under Dr. Hoffman’s direction, Danya has embarked upon an aggressive strategic plan to increase business and relationships in Africa that will have a social impact on those living in Africa, especially East Africa. In 2008, Dr. Hoffman initiated the opening of Danya’s East Africa office in Nairobi, Kenya and led the public-private partnership pilot study using mobile video phones to monitor TB medication compliance called Mobile Direct Observation Treatment.
Dr. Hoffman’s election to the Board was announced in CCA’s March edition of The Africa e-Journal, its online newsletter.
