Silver Spring, Maryland (November 29, 2010) - Throughout the year, Danya International, Inc., staff participate in several volunteer activities to help people in our community, and the holiday season is especially important. This year, Danya staff will help support several organizations in the Washington, D.C., and Atlanta metropolitan areas. Among the activities:

• For the past few years, Danya has partnered with Hearts & Homes for Youth to provide needed clothing and other gifts for children. Hearts & Homes is a Maryland-based program that offers long-term, community-based group homes for at-risk children. The group homes provide therapeutic and rehabilitative services, helping the children achieve their personal, social, and educational goals. This year, Danya is sponsoring the “Damamli Teen Moms & Babies Program.”
• Since 2004, Danya has entertained children as Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the Elf at the Bright Beginnings Junior League Christmas Party. The children have their picture taken with Santa and his helpers, who also pass out gifts provided by Bright Beginnings, a Washington, D.C.-based, nationally accredited child and family development center. The organization helps families living in transitional housing and in crisis shelters by providing support and resources for the children and help parents end their homelessness.   
• Danya staff will assist the Children’s Restoration Network in Atlanta by sorting, wrapping, and personalizing gifts the organization has collected for needy children in the Atlanta metropolitan area. 
• Danya staff support the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation with toy donations.
• Danya staff donate personal care and other items for residents at local nursing homes.
